Frontend Developer

Flow System is a modern single-page web application. The client side web application is built in JavaScript using Backbone.js/Marionette and the backend API is built with Flask, a Python framework.

We are now looking for a passionate JavaScript developer to complement our team.

Responsibilities

As a frontend developer at Flow System you will create, develop and maintain the frontend software components. You will assume ownership over these components and continuously work to improve them and drive new development. You must be proactive and constantly pay attention to the scalability, performance and availability of our systems.

Usability, elegancy and code quality will be your prime concerns.

Requirements

You're both a conceptual thinker and a craftsperson, with expert level skills in multiple programming languages and an eye for design and interaction. You're resourceful, responsive and can shift quickly between multiple projects at once, leading your code from concept to completion.

You enjoy engaging in a healthy debate about everything from consumer experience to system architecture, and sharing what you've learned with others. You understand how business objectives are met via great user experiences and believe that the best frontend code prove itself in the real world.

You develop strong relationships and collaborate effortlessly with your colleagues. You are always working to improve your skills and thrive in an environment that welcomes honest, candid feedback.

You must be proactive and professional in all aspects of your work. You will be working with dedicated and passionate computer geeks and professionals. We expect the same standards and commitment in return. Here are some of our requirements:

• Coding is one of your passions in life.
• You are fluent in several programming language.
• You are an expert in JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS.
• Minimum three years of relevant working experience.
• You have experience in developing client side JavaScript web applications.
• You wish to work on a very large system that can handle many users.
• Nothing from low level hacking to large scale design intimidates you.
• You shun superficial knowledge and always desire to fully grok things.
• Experience in building enterprise software is an advantage, but not a requirement.
• Bold vision for the future of Flow System as well as digital and social media in general.

Preferably you’re located in (or willing to relocate to) Stockholm, Sweden.
