The role
We are looking for a highly talented web developer, who is an expert in ASP.NET and has experience building advanced web applications to work at our Zürich office in Switzerland. You will be part of an international web development team and will be responsible for developing and maintaining different sites and applications on www.ef.com and other related websites (for example www.ef.com/schools, www.ef.com/languageclubs and www.ef.com/smartvacation).

The successful candidate:
• Is responsible for developing, testing, troubleshooting, and maintaining interactive web applications in ASP.NET
• Feel at home working on large multi-language websites.
• Is passionate about user interface design and usability challenges.
• Has excellent communication skills, especially in composing web site technical specifications and presenting technical solutions.
• Must be a team player who understands the importance of teamwork, collaboration, and open communication.
• Has a true passion for excellence in his/her work, is highly organized, detailed-oriented, thorough, and follows through on commitments.
• Must be able to effectively work with other web designers and developers, senior architects, and sales/marketing staff.

Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s Degree and/or Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or equivalent experience
• Minimum 2-3 years developing and working with ASP.NET, SQL, AJAX, CSS, XHTML, DOM, JavaScript, XML/XSLT
• A passion for usability, interface design, and creativity
• A solid understanding of web standards and best practices
• An excellent understanding of information architecture
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
