Lars Klasson, Head of Broadband Technology Solutions says “We will be ready to meet the customer demand of IPv6 products/services in our home markets in the Nordics/Baltics in line with the emerging IPv6 requirements– i.e.DataNet, Business Internet and security services for our Enterprise customers, IPv6-Internet access for our Mass market customers and IPv6 Mobile access. Already today Telia Enterprise customers are offered IPv6 on their Telia Prolane services on request and on IPv6 day we launch it as a standardized option for our Finnish DataNet and Business Internet customers. On the B2C market we will run a pilot including 5000 customers in Sweden, Finland, Denmark and Norway –starting May running till end of December this year.

From pioneering Europe’s first commercially available IPv6 network in 2001, today TeliaSonera offers dual stack IPv6 at its International Carrier POPs across 3 continents.

Erik Hallberg, President TeliaSonera International Carrier says “Dual stack IPv6 was enabled in TeliaSonera International Carrier’s AS1299’s core network in 2009. Roll-out to remaining POP’s continues and is over 90% and the upgrade of TeliaSonera’s DNS service to fully support IPv6 was done last year.
