Their "documentation" or "specifications" are usually written poorly.
I find even basic grammar and spelling errors a lot.
As far as code itself, we are basically not even allowed to look at it if we wish to code for Wine

So unless they release their code under LGPLv2 (Which will never happen) we can't use it directly.
Or really at all


The only way we could use it is to have one group of people document it and not write *any* code and the other group implement the documentation
That is called clean room reverse engineering - the Wine project does not allow this
Because we are dealing with something very serious, we don't want to take any chances where the law is grey - we prefer only the more black & white law
So we don't allow reverse engineering at all
